Again SaberWeek has ended and even if I didn't had much time to play I enjoyed it myself.

I saw many people again on the server, not many new players but every month it's nice to socialise with other players and even do some gaming :P

I am really sorry 2 players for instance keep intimidating each other. As a result one player will be banned and the other player is warned for his intimidation and provocation towards the other player.

Also it took much of my time last few days to fix reports.... Players missing, uneven teams and *just one!!!* duplicate match.
It's quite easy to report a match, if you do it carefully you can't make mistakes! So why not do it right the first time and if you have reported your match you double check it. All players in a reported match get an email that they have played. Check if the data is true!!!
There are 48 hours for the reporter the edit their repped match... so please use that function.

Also in this long post I would like rediscuss the Intercontinental rule, the ping difference and the rematching.
There are a lot of people who just don't play at US for their own sake. We see a US clan winning that played on a euro server most of the time, I won more matches on Rage propably then on the US server.
SInce the rematch rool got deleted players keep on sticking to homeland more and more.
The rule was deleted because US players got irritated by doing rematches all the time.
I am thinking of bringing the rule back.... but more US clans are needed to actually have more players across all servers.

Long post I know.... but please pay attention as I now go to buy some beer and enjoy my well deserved weekend

You should bring that rule back imo. Makes it all fair.My only beef was with KR since they didn't even want to play... I have no idea why clans sign up for an event and don't play, or refuse when asked to match.Second, what's the point of the moderator thing when the only thing you're basicly doing is moderating a forum? Seems pointless to have moderators that don't or barely play in these events. Either get them to be active or replace them.Greetz

I think the rematch rule is a bad idea bekause it's unfair. For example I am not from US, and not from Europe (Politically I mean, not geographically). I live in Russia and that's pretty far from Euro server and sure even more far from US. Even on Euro I have like 100-120 ping all the time. But on US I have 190-250.
If there will be such rule it means that for every match played at Euro I must 100% sure suck one on US... So is that fair after all?....

Well ET I know I already offered this once and didn't execute it yet...but this time I'll really try to make NRN Server another SW server....Our server stands in New York which means good pings for americans and still ok pings for euros(150 is playable I guess^^).

Also it would be good if everyone keeps trying to convince his/her mates from other clans to join the tourny. The more the better^^

I mean slacker's comment, really need to add an edit function to these forums lol

Rules have been updated for SW17

Please check them and feel free to leave a comment.

Pingrule is back! Seems more fair for most players (sorry Mike) and seems better for activity also :P

personally I never mind to play on US. I just want to play, I don't really care about losing as long as I have fun and play decent =)

(and NY has a direct connection to London and Amsterdam. So servers from Amst. London or NY are always best)

I have a few questions...
Ping Difference:
1.If a team or player plays on a server across the atlantic they/he/she is entitled on a rematch on their/his/her own continent.
2.You must agree on this before playing the match. And afterall it’s a fair thing to do so.

1) What is a rematch?
Example: Euro player vs US player, 1v1, Euro server. Euro player lost the match, should he go and play another one on US?.....

2) How many people needed for this rule to work?
Example: 1 US player, 7 Euro players, 4v4 , Euro server. Should all 8 players go for another match to US server?

3) Same situation as (2). Let's imagine only 5 players made it to US server... What should others do?...
(All this situations are realistik and happened to me at least few times before)

you always Should agree upon this before the match...

FE:
On euro:
ET vs Visualizer 8-10
we agreed on a rematch on US if I should win....
we could also have agreed on a rematch w.e. happens....

So it's all agreed BEFORE the match...

2nd Example:
3 vs 3 on US:
2 US+ 1 EU vs 3 US
you really think we should do a rematch over this.... I don't believe the others would agree on a rematch.

So point I wanna make is.... you agree before the match. You ask gentle. This rule is there to make it more fair. It's not here to make the gameplay lame or uneven!

I still think if you go back to regular awards like 1st,2nd,3rd and top 5 clubs get awards like all the other events on ER you'll attract more clubs.Quite honestly the gold, bronze looks like an eye sore in our clubs award page and considering how many events Saberweek had before it got changed its wierd to have changed it.Also all the past Saberweeks the top 5 clubs always got awards.

I have talked to a few clans trying to get them to join back in this event. One response I got was, there's only top 3 club awards now and everyone knows which 3 clubs will get those so why bother joining. Can you think about changing back to top 5 club awards like it used to be and also have a normal 1st,2nd,3rd,4th and 5th place finish. It may help make it easier to get some clans back here.

yea some clans are like that it would be more convenient to have a 1-5th place more opportunities for clans

Saberweek is definitely a good laugh but wouldn't it be cooler if it was done in a tournament style fashion like 4vs4 or 3vs3s or whatever in set matches with every club playing the other club. Then there is an overall winner based on number of matches won. I find the rating system quite bizarre but that could just be my opinion.

about the awards.

I like to do Gold, Silver and Bronze. But it really does not matter at all :P

If some prefer it to be 1 till 5th place.... I don't bother to change it back....

However, a 4th place to me is like (I explained to Ash and don't need to use those words here :P) I think u understand :D

but OK, I'll change it back.

Also note that we have a sportivity award for a player that is really active and has a remarkable good attitude. So if you are no winner and you still enjoy playing, you can win this award.

I'll like the idea of having from 1 till 5 it's a good idea, and perhaps it will persuade more clans to sign up xD

That's funny, usually no more then 5 clans are playing, so it will be like 5 places out of 5.

Besides can I read somewhere how submitting system works? I mean how it calculates ratings.

Well this current Saberweek there is a lot more clans involved and there should be a top 5 awards done like there always in the past.Personally there isnt much left to JKA except playing and maybe getting a chance to get a award and if its only going to be the top 3 clans after the event had top 5 up until Saberwek like 12 or so then maybe its a reason some clans arnt playing anymore.

in my humble opinnion SW should be european and american separated so their will be no problems regarding ping differences. you can't really decide who's the better club between euro and american..
