No patches should be installed during an event. The reasons are servers take the longest time to get updated and there can be conflicts with players with a new patch versus non-updated servers. In addition, the moderator team has not had a chance to validate the patch for events. A patch can cause unevenness in the event with a current rule set.
So, NO, you should not be updating to the new patch.

Musa is right, it does screw the event.
Mael or arramus, I think maybe 1 of u should put in the rules or somewhere where people look that people dont download the new patches that come out during an event so people keep the same versions. And regarding the auto xfire downlaod patch thing, dont install it either.

You have to understand that some of our servers automagically update as soon as the patch comes out. So it is really out of our hands.
As far as the new patch though it seems like it crates more lag in game... IDK maybe just me.
