arramus Posts: 1135 Joined: 2005-05-16 User Profile | From Bactaweek 1 we only had a one match requirement for clans and this worked well for a few events as the majority of clans had a pretty decent roster and the larger clans were picking up the awards. From Bactaweek 3 the first complaints were beginning to be aired about this system not awarding teams fielding a range of skills while at the same time awarding 2 man elite clans. From Bactaweek 7 we added a 5 player minimum for clan ranking and this has gone even further for a number of game services with players also needing to get in their minimum number before it counts towards clans totals. I can see the same issues arising if we lower the clan ranking requirements for Halo. It may work for a few battles but the complaints will come when members see what's happening. I'd rather keep clan ranking as a real team effort ranking. Getting 6 battles for a player ranking isn't a difficult challenge and players in clans can still earn those while they build their player rosters. | |
