After the last event, I believe there is a need to describe how the stat system work in the Battleweek events. Hopefully this helps those playing here how things have worked.

1. Each stat catagory (Games played, victory ratio, etc) are worth up to a number of points for a club or player. A club/player can obtain anywhere from 1 point to the maximum amount of points in each catagory depending how their stats relate to others. A person with the highest value stat would receive the highest number of points in that catagory, the person or club with the lowest value receives 1.00 point. If a club/player were to max out in each catagory, they would receive 100 points.

2. The stat system splits the stats into two catagories, activity stats and skill stats.

- Activity stats are based on the number of games played such as the Games Played, Unique opponents, and Avg. Games per Player. In a sense, the more you play in an event, the more your activity stats rise.

- Skill stats are results of how a player and club perform from each match such as Victory Ratio, Attrition Ratio (Kills vs Deaths), Team Bonus, Avg. Points per Game, and Avg. Enemy Points per Game.

3. Average Rank Played. This is an average of the players a club/person has faced.

- This rating is based on the skill stats only. So if a player is playing higher skilled opponents, they will have a higher average ranked played.

- People that play low ranked people would have a lower average.

- A persons Average Rank Played figures into a Skill Multipler. A Skill Multiplier is calculated for each person/club in the range of 0.60 to 1.00. This value is then multiplied against the Skill Stats ONLY to give a total of the skill stats. This total is added with the total of the activity stats to give the overall total rating for each player/club.

- For math majors, the formula is this:

Total Rating = ((GP Rating + UOR Rating) + Skill Multipier*(VR Rating + AR Rating + TB Rating + APPG Rating + AEPPG Rating))

The purpose of the Skill Muliplier is to reward those that player tougher opponents with the risk of having skill stats suffer versus those that inflate skill stats by playing easier opponents.

Hopefully this explains everything about the system. If you have questions, feel free to ask.

Regards,

Im wondering how people who come in and play a few matches the last day or so of an event and only play like 8 games or so end up in the top of rankings when theres people who played over 80 games and ended up in like 15th place???

The working theory is a person playing a minimum amount of games is penalized in activity versus someone playing a large amount of games. If a person were to achieve a high ranking with a minimum amount of games, they must have played harder opponents and also defeated the harder opponents quite soundly. This means their ARP would be higher as well as their skill stats in your example.

Want to elaborate? Opinions are not credible unless there is educated or experienced reasoning behind this. Exactly what are you arguing against since there are many factors in the system? Is this just a slam?

There is a widespread mis-education about the stat system and hence the reason for my posting this information.

Well yes I guess it was a slam seeing as even when you penalized TR they went ahead and black balled and stat padded to win regardless. I'd say that's a flawed system right there.

Turtle, care to actually ask a question and also back up how TR is supposedly stat padding the system instead of slamming this thread in which Maelstrom is trying to help the community understand how the stat system works.

I do have a question that I want to ask which refers to Skoals earlier question.

So my question is why dont people that play more games and probably win more games as well not get a better placing compared to people that only get lmited number of games in? Because I do think that people that take the time to play more games arnt getting the recongition they deserve for taking the time to help make this event active. I would think that people that play more should be at the top compared to people that only play a small amount of game and wonder why that isnt the case.

Crazyturtle, there is a standing rule that you cannot accuse players of something without evidence. You didn't even participate, so you're only further painting yourself out to be foolish. You are the most unconstructive person here, always with a little quip or slam against this site.
Here's an idea: Buy yourself a domain and pour countless hours of time like Maelstrom has, into creating the perfect stat system so that you win every time. Then maybe we can all join there and play without bots according to your genius rules. Then we won't have to listen to you talk crap anymore and actually get back to playing the game.

I see your clan isn't participating in flag week, how come? Also, I do infact play- check my xfire profile and double it since I didn't have xfire for the longest time. Anyways is there a way to look at a club's match history, then it would be easy to tell if they were being partial to one or more clans. The only reason I slammed on you maelstrom is because I got a rather negative vibe from the post you posted in response to my first.

Oh ya since I can't edit here you go:
Ross 402 hours on battlefront 2
boba 446 hours on battlefront 2
crazyturtle 722 hours on battlefront 2

Just thought I'd add that in for your information. Oh yes I play.

Anyways... I think the amount of blackballing is decreasing and the only way people are able to "Stat Pad" is the ability to see every player/clan's stats...
