User Profile Here is the news.
I have asked Visualizer and Musa to step down from their positions in SWBF2. I've asked Visualizer to stay on as promotions director for ER and if he wants to start a new game area, I'd be happy to have him. Musa will also remain as a BF2142 mod until he wants to leave. For the interim, I will be handling things in the SWBF2 area until I can find a new game director. Basically we have issues to solve and complaints to address and I want to speak with clubs to help provide solutions on a personal level.

User Profile My only comment is that when the voices of a very small minority start demanding or dictating to the the large majority thier own terms to play,it becomes political and not fun and is heading down a very dark path against the spirit of fun and fair competition.

User Profile Id also like to thank those who signed the petition.As you can see the maturity level of those it involved shined through once again proving what you all know that they dont want your voice to be heard.But there are other ways to make your voice heard.

User Profile Personally I think we should respect the opinion of the site admin here. I do not think anyone should be openly making posts celebrating or setting up polls on other sites. I acknowledge this decision and strong refute any and all claims that were made on said poll. I am asking everyone to please be mature about this matter regardless of your stance on it and post/pm/xfire the appropriate people in a respectful and civilized manner as I'm sure there are several people who feel strongly for and against this decision. We don't need an unneeded explosion of anger from either group.

User Profile I think someone doing this while Maelstrom is on vacation is pathetic to say the least. Vis you were a mod and no better. And still are involved with ER. I suggest we move on and try and to get along. But for some that just isn't good enough I guess. If everyone would read the beginning of this thread you'd see that Maelstrom wanted feedback from the clans to try and solve some issues. Think before you post. I remember a day when their was over 40 people in the same ER TS channel talking and trying to find ways for ER to succeed the way it was. People that missed the good times. We all got along not too long ago and all have mutual friendships in several clans. -=DE=-

User Profile Let me just say that as the owner of this site I believe I have the full authority to make the necessary changes and provide solutions to the community unlike the game directors/moderators since they are limited in the tools they have at their disposal. I want the information first hand from the clubs, and ALL the clubs, and not filtered anymore. I know there are assumptions being passed around of things I am planning on doing like the non-solution intended "mention" above. I would think the community would want me at this point to "come down off my thrown" as I've lately been told and listen to the ENTIRE community. I do not recall where I have earned any disrespect. I/we have listened to you before and made changes I/we thought were best for the community. I am going to intermingle with the community again, maybe even meet you ingame Crazyturtle, and get my own barometer of the climate.
This intention of mine should be viewed as fair to everyone, I believe.

I did not sign that petition but my name is there. That is just straight up wrong who ever did that. I wasn't sure if i should sign because I did not know the full details of this issue. At any rate whomever did this.... I give you a big F U biatch. It is my choice to sign or vote not yours.
Obviously there are ulterior motives here. So I cannot help but question the validity of this petition.

So lets post the same proposal here on ER and let everyone who actually did or wants to sign it have the right to do so without any possibility of it being tampered with. Afterall if we're looking to see how the community feels shouldn't this be allowed?

User Profile I hear ya Mark. And Wasp...it's Maelstroms site. Everyone can b*tch, moan, complain but that may not solve the problems. Yea...the rumors are that DE is doing "this" and TR is doing "that" and Visualizer and Musa this and that. So what is the solution?
Personally, I think the Clan Leaders need to have scheduled meetings on ER. It needs to be more frequent. I've been to one but J.O.V_ has been around over a year now. I don't think I need to spell out why this would benefit the community. But I think we all know it would.
So CL's get your ass on the line to make some positve changes. Don't just pretend you are here with your club only to contribute drama. Cry me a F'ing river people. Coming together instead of apart is the only way.
Just a thought.....

Drop the drama little girls. Solve the problem at a conference between all the leaders. Additionally, I am in DE and happen to agree with the concept. If they want to make a petition and have people sign it, I say go for it.
No worries on this end. As for any complaints or issues that mods have with each other, or other clans have with each other, there's a place to solve that with guns:
It's called a battlefield. Pick your game gentlemen. ER is for fun, not drama. You want drama that bad? Go play at TWL. If 2 days goes by without the words hacks in the forums, I'll have a stroke.

User Profile No your right,some of us going forward are choosing to basically stay away from forums.Its ironic however that before it was called censorship when posts were frozen,but now its considered ok because people may have wanted to express a different view.I would not call that a good step in trying to open the communication lines but rather a further step in closing them down.
If someone posted in the petition thread something that was out of line,then why not remove that post instead of closing the entire thread not allowing people to express thier opinion?

Going forward, you will see competition in a small game such as this is hard. With only less than 20 major clans in SWBF2, yes you are going to play each other over and over again. My point being, why don't we all just play. I enjoy SWBF2 rarely so I would like whatever happens here to reflect the best quality in gaming and fairness

User Profile The other thread was not closed out of censorship. Had censorship been the objective I would have deleted the posts. Instead I froze it after Krayt's suggestion so that MUSA would not continue to belittle Maelstrom. The original purpose for the thread was perfectly alright, it just got off topic with accusations of lies. Also I indicated that the thread was only frozen until Maelstrom decided what he wanted to allow, so expect it to be unfrozen shortly.

I realize I'm arguing for a petition to ban my clan, but that being said, I also believe in people's right to voice their opinion.
That ALSO being said, it's ER's forums. They can do what they want, when they want, how they want, and nobody has to like it. It's not a democracy. Ultimately, it's always up to the one man in charge.
