Either they aren't working for me. I sent the same one 3 times and it says I need to be logged in even though I am.

There are two reasons this could be happening. They cookies could be being blocked for PMs which causes an error to report you are not logged in. Also, if you are using Mozilla, depending on the version, there are issues with cookies being allowed to be read.
