User Profile Ok. I am not necessarily saying that there shouldn't ever be an assault week. However, throughout the event I constantly heard people Say "Assault Sucks" "Why couldn't they have just done DW" "Assault is retarted"
I would like to see peoples thoughts now that the event is now over and people have had time to think about it. If a mod could add a poll it would be nice but I dont have the power

User Profile Well, I find Assault to be rather, well, boring...I mean, I played 4 games against TBS Chaos and we drew each one -.- Seriously, its boring and easy. How easy is it to kill the flag carrier? Just sit down at your base and beat him down or nade him or whatever...Or, When you run into his/their base, they kill you, then you try to get your flag back but they are guarding it and you die...I, personally, do not like Assault Week, Delta Week is my area of specialty. =D

User Profile Assault week i'd love to have again (not just cause i got first). If you tied its cause your probably close in the skill department.
Now since the posts from the post-DeltaWeek 1 are not accessible im gonna ask if anyone remembers it what the reponses to it were.Im betting they were "BactaWeek is better lets forget CTF".
I think we should have atleast an Assault week 2 because it will give the Mods a chance to edit the Scoring System and see if we like it then.

User Profile I cannot say it with a 100% certanty, but the scorring system wasnt the problem this event. While it was a rush to get it done and all, in the end I dont think much was wrong.
However, people need to play in the event for it to work...

User Profile Atleast, lets have it like every other last week of the month. Instead of replacing DW/BW. Maybe if enough people like it. WE play more. I just dont see the need to waste a week when you only have about 15 competivaly playing AW.

User Profile I think why every1 dislikes assault week is because, most of us dont play AS on pub matches, so we know what to do and were all skille dbut we need to adapt to AW i think. i think an New AW woould be good to see how it go's this time because maybe it will wotk ouit better this time?

Assault Week- Stupid
Delta week- Requires most skill and shows who truely is the stronger TEAM.
BactaWeek- For people like me who are obnoxious and brag when playing video games cause its in their nature. This is for pwner's who got sumthing to proove. Some examples IMO are: Lebron,Flash,Wrath,Smurf,Vile,Deathwolf,Thrawn, Miek,Pat...
Guys like that who want to proove they r the best LOVE BW.
Bactaweek is alot of fun...for me at least cause i have a reputation to live up to, tho for not such good players, BW must suck ass.
Deltaweek is probobly my favorite, because it takes Military strategy...For a high ranking person in a clan DW is amazing, cause i loved coming up with strategy, Plays, throws, positions...It Also shows what team has more skill working together, which i love cause thats what its all about...Your clan.
Assault week- I think if people got into assault, and all the clan leads agreed to try to make their clan participate alot, and people took time to form strategy, i think it would be amazing...but honestly assault kinda just lacks something...it just doesnt motivate me like TDM or CTF.
BTW, Oh deary me! guys...these tornies suck now. It isnt the Mods fault, it is NOBODY'S fault, its just that its a small community game and people are quitting leaving us with less and less...Fu*k the BS, lets play a real torny...so to any1 who wants to take this challenge or w.e u may call it, please do.
FS- I want to see you guys playing damnit... Get sam,tongo,ash,Bp,Omgknt,Blck...all the old pwners to play. Without u guys this game is not the same. Use ur new rbln people as well, fark u guys r strong as hell, get active and pwn people.
RC- Ill be more direct with u guys, ur my old clan mates and i love u so i can do that... Stop accepting these stupid nub applicants, become what u once were... Lee,Noval,remo,link,bobo,flash,smurf,Ajax, Oh deary me! ARE YOU DOING. Play the damn game,get good, stop being stupid and giving up. thats why i hated being in RC, there is no drive to win anymore...and its ashame cause u got what it takes.
DS- God...idk what to say but i see your roster ..you still have some power there...dont be stupid and give up, work to regain what u once had, you have taken many hard falls leaving you powerless but now u got sum power and show it...rank top 3 and a gaurantee ulls ee recruits.
Motr- I hate you. I hate everything you guys stand for, your clan,your leads, lebron(he is his own subject jkjk) but seriously, i despise u. But i cant lie and say u suck.Your one of the strongest if not strongest in the game right now. Holy poop u have a roster and a half!! PLAY. Beating you has been my rep com joy, and i dont want it to stop, the rivalry i have with u guys is what makes this game fun...
TX- You guys always manage to proove urselves and rank high. Keep it up, but ur a big part of this community...ur like the most dominant euro RC clan....do sumthing with ur skill

User Profile I actually did some researching on both AW and DW and you wouldn't believe the difference. People say how sucky AW is, yet if you look at the VERY first DW there are just 80 matches played between everyone who participated. Not matches reported to specify.
If you look at the number of matches for each player ( http://eclipticalrealms.com/wargames/reports/14/war-overallscores.asp?warid=36 ) compared to AW's number of matches per player ( http://eclipticalrealms.com/wargames/reports/14/war-overallscores.asp?warid=251 ) decide for yourselves how much of an improvement it is from the very first DW to the very first AW.
You can argue that back then there were less players involved in RC and that could work besides the fact that the mods kept on going with DW and look at it now. It's probably the event people look forward to the most. Do I expect the same results with AW? Not the least bit. But I do expect that if you give it a try that it will grow in participation.
Did I like AW, yes. Even though I had to get my matches in on the very last day I still had a good time. I know a few had practice AW matches before the event and you can't deny that it wasn't fun. Some of you shoot down the idea before it even has a chance to develope and show you at how good a time you could possibly have like in DW. Every event starts out like this and I'm sure there are people who hate it because it's new and people don't like change. DW should prove that if you give the event a chance you may change your mind or you may not. Either way you can't make a full judgement about AW until you have more than one so that all the bugs can be worked out.
Summary, give it another chance and then make an opinion as to keep it or toss it. You really can't have the full view unless you've tried it more than once.

Sam and Ash can not play anymore, Tongo is into 2142 with us, BP the same, Omega is 2142, Blck is school, Deux is 2142, Truth has left for DS. We just dont have time for RC Anymore wrath, i know you always wanted to play big matches like i do, but everyone yells at each other because of rosters. I honestly just want to play. I enjoy playing RC With my fellow FS buds, thats the only reason. I only play RC if my fellow clan mates need me.

User Profile That really is whats happening isn't it? The bigger point is, RC is slowly dying and is nearly at its death knell. Clan members are leaving because they are getting older, have to much work, moving to different clans, or there clans dying. Recent clan deaths were the newly formed VF and heaven forbid, KE....I will miss KE, not because of the noobing (jks) but your server....it ownzored >.< I would hope we can get another year out of RC yet, but, really, can we? And, I hope AW hasent replaced DW...god help us...

User Profile Wrath, I know I'm an MotR, but I miss those old days too, back when I was still an nublish applicant.
Also, I think we should develop AW. Maybe on the big public servers have 3 days CTF, 2 days TDM, 2 days AW, or mix up the numbers? Don't know if it's possible right enough, never adminned a server on RC.

User Profile Oww.. what's going on here? Hard words, Wrath. I some points I agree to you. I love to play big matches though, but TX has the same problems like many other clans have ... members quitting RC or on LOA.
Assaultweek .... is a nice gamemode which I don't want to miss in future. So let's keep it up playing DW/BW/AW.
Well I hope RepCom would not die so fast. But as Wrath said, yep I miss the old times either ... we only played ONE 7v7 against RC and never again. Would be cool if this is possible in future!

As for me, I still play (this is my main game at the moment), it's just last week I had a lot of work to do. As for RC, I too hope we can become a force in tournaments; I try to organize scrims when I can. See you guys in DeltaWeek.
