Considering there were 48 players who played in this past Saberweek and only 19 of those actually got ranked, would it maybe be a good idea to lower the minimum games to rank from 10 to maybe like 6.This may also encourage some other clubs to play a little without requiring a lot of time to get ranked. Its not always easy to find matches as it is and depending what time zone your in it can limit your options even more depending whos on making it hard for some to reach 10 matches.

Actually I thought this past Saberweek was one of the best ones Ive played in a long time. There was quite a bit of players willing to play on both euro and usa servers which made it a much more fun event.
And yes great job Mike and it was also nice to play with some new faces that came on board this event.

Thx guys , but don't forget that this time i had Thund to help me. It was he, who brought new clans to this SW.

As for minimum games rank, I suppose it could be done. However I don't think it will help a lot, cause people with like only 6 games, will always stay in the lower part of the ranking.

Purhaps, but at least they will be ranked. Be a low ranking is always better then no rank at all. And I have to say, if you only needed 5 or 6 games to rank I could get some DWs to play in the next event. As it is now we haven't had a DW rank in saberweek for like a year because frankly they burn out on the game too fast and never make it to 10 games lol. If it was 5 or 6 games needed to rank i think DW might start getting into it again lol.

im with Thund on this one. 5 would be awesome. Besides, its not going to effect the top players, they all get a ton of games anyway. All this is going to do is get more people to rank

Well, since you all think 10 is to high, next time I'll low it to 7 (5 and 6 seems to low to me).

Well I think it was a good idea to lower player games to 7,its not enough to save this section. This game is well over 4 years old now.I cant even get my own members to get 7 games in.Its almost impossible given the fact that 90% of the event is Euro clans so the timezones difference makes it impossible for almost all my members to get any matches in.
In my opinion it should be 5 games to rank a player and 2 players and a total of 10 games to rank a club.Otherwise its pointless for my clan to bother playing unless were going to somehow find a way to get a bunch of USA clubs playing again.
The euro server is pretty active all day long, but by the time most of my clan gets home from work or school, you guys are all sleeping and theres rarely anyone to play during our time.So the fact that its almost impossible to get matches on top of an really to high number of games it takes to rank is really hurting this event.Even DW played this saberweek but found it impossible to play and get ranked given the high amount of games it requires.
I ask again to reconsider the number of games for players and clubs to rank in hopes to at least keep some clans still playing.

I agree. So far DW has played several matches and only 1 of them hasnt been with rage. Playing the same clan 7 times gets kinda boring, and so some of my members are bound to stop playing in the event around their 4th or 5th game with rage lol.

Personally I don't think this matters too much; if someone plays such a low number of matches they won't be particularly high in the ranking anyway. I think the 10 matches rule is absolutely fine and changing it to 7 or 5 won't make much of a perceptible difference anyway. I would say either have it at 0 so that everyone gets a rank regardless of how many matches they play, or just keep 10 - with any interim number between 1-9 it honestly doesn't make that much of a difference anyway. But that's just my opinion and I don't absolutely disagree with changing it to 7. I just think there are more important issues, i.e. getting reliable servers and more activity (though I think the last saberweek was pretty decent on the activity front considering the time of year).

But if people that normally wouldnt get 10 games and so wouldnt be ranked, suddenly decided to play more because they only needed 5 games to rank, there would be that many more players. How can that not be a perceptible difference? Even if it got 1 or 2 more players in the event it would help since the main players in the event are still going to be getting their high amount of games. Its not about getting more people high into the rankings with a low number of matches, its about getting more people ranked period. 5 games makes it so people still have to put in more then 10 minutes of playing time, but also makes it so that people who are less inclined to play in this event will make an appearance if they only need to play 5 games instead of 10.
