All,

I received some questions about the minimum ARP and will attempt to explain.

First, the minimum ARP serves itself as a "penaly box". When a person achieves the minimum games, a rating is calculated for them and is attributed to everyone's ARP rating just like before in previous event. So these people are technically ranked at this point. Next, we then check to see if their ARP meets the minimum, if it does not, they fall off rating and enter the "penalty box" until they play harder skilled opponents which ARP is based on.

Second, even though these people fell off rating, they still retain their ratings per stat but their overall rating is 0.00. So people who remain rating may not have the minimum or maximum ratings per stat.

If you have anymore questions, respond to this thread or send me a PM.

Regards,

I think the biggest question I keep getting is when you play a player who hasnt already played 10 games which is required to get ranked, does that in a sense mean your playing a player with a ARP of 0.00 which hurts your own ARP played?

Yes, and this is like it was in previous events. You get your 10 games in, you get a rating. This happens with your opponents that you played as well. Please remember, your ARP is a "live" stat which means those people you have played will affect your ARP as their rating changes. It is not the opponents rating at the time you played them that is reflected in your ARP. So once the people that you played get their 10 games in and get a rating, this will factor into YOUR ARP and raise it up.

As you can see, those that have their 10 game minimums but do not have their ARP above 20, still have ratings for their stats to compute ARPs. In addition, those with less than 10 games that have played people with their 10 games minimums also have an ARP rating.

Okay to help the new stat ARP calculations work better the following changes have been made to the current CW14 event.

Number of games to rank a player - 6
Number of games to rank a club - 20
Number of players to rank a club - 3

The new ARP is a good new addition but it means requiring less games so more people can get ranked so it has an amble number of ranked players to work when calcaulating the stats.

ok the reason this is flawed is because a person who has alot of games but isnt ranked has to play players that are to get his arp up. When doing this the other teams may not want to cuz it could throw there ARP down and then they could become unranked as well i say toss this rule its bad.

This will Definately not work it would however be a good idea to limit how many matches you can have with one clan, and/ or how many different clans you have to play with to get ranked

I was asked this tonight.

ARP = V/R Rating + A/R Rating, + TB Rating + Avg. PPG + Avg. Enemy PPG

If you notice, those that have fallen below the minimum still have ratings for those stats which you get credit for in your ARP. In addition, if you play someone with a 0 rating, who does not have their minimum games in, once they get rated, this factors into your ARP.

I dont think that this is the answer, yes it may help stop people from blackballing so they dont get in this "penalty box" but i dont think it should completely remove them from the rankings. I do agree that players who avoid any stronger opponents should receive some sort of penalty like this but it should just lower their ranking, not remove it completely. I think it would best to just go back to how it was but with more weight on the Average Rating Played and possibly less on the victory ratio so that players arent so terrified of losing their winning streak that they refuse to play challenging opponents. The ARP needs to reward people for playing harder opponents (even if they lose) and penalize them if they are playing only the easiest of matches, but again it should not go so far as removing them from the rankings completely.
