If you find yourself desperate for a server to play in then I'm hosting one.

The problem is that this server is based in Japan and if you're in the US your ping will be about 200 and even higher if you're in Europe.

The only consolation is that everyone will have high pings unless I join in as well (which I'd rather not do).

The server has a few customisations based on what's permitted in the rules. These will make things a bit more interesting. Here's the run down on the server.

Server I.P.: 124.97.118.167
Server Name is: RW1_Clan_vs_Clan
Server Password is: ringers1

The map rotation is:
Wizard (Customisations - No shields - Only Shotguns)
Timberland (Customisations - No shields - Only Sniper Rifles - Warthogs)
Blood Gulch (Customisations - Only Rockets - Warthogs)

Apart from those changes it's as it should be.

I have PC Dedicated Server (v1.07) up and it is located in Denver Colorado.

Please see the following details. The retail version is not installed, and therefore the dedicated server maps installation was performed and no customizations can be done at this time.

Using Arramus' format:

IP Address:75.70.186.208

sv_maxplayers 16
sv_mapcycle_timeout 10
sv_password ringers1

sv_mapcycle_add
sv_mapcycle_add wizard "ER Event"

I can easily modify this server. This is my first time running this game and participating, so please forgive my slowness. But any suggestions are welcome on the setup for anyone's use. Just xfire me.

If you have an init file already setup, then just post it.

The rules have servers running an elimination type custom battle with knockout for each player coming after 5 deaths. Shall I send you the saved ER Event gametype so your server matches the rules setup? We can place it in a file that matches the retail hierarchy and see if it takes on the rotation.

The storage location will look something like this:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Games\Halo\savegames

Here's the official readme on that.

You can create custom game types (using the full retail version of Halo) and include these game types on your server rotation. This would enable you, for example, to include a Rockets only game on your server rotation. To do so, follow these steps:

· Launch the full retail version of Halo.
· Under Multiplayer, choose Edit Game Types.
· Create a new game type (refer to the Halo documentation if you need help to do this).
· Save your new game type.
· Quit Halo.
· Open your Halo save games folder (by default, this would be “My Documents\My Games\Halo\savegames”).
· You will see the name of the custom game type you created as a folder directory.
· Make sure this folder is available on your server (in the same location on disk).
· Use the name of your custom game type in your mapcycle.txt file.
