Well you cant wall jump off the roof. Wall jumping only happens on the ground

As long as u dont wall jump and wall jump and end up at an impossible place to be on top of, its okay. The places u were jumping on were places easily accesible from running up the stairs at that cp and jumping to the across building and at the other, going up the stairs that is next to the cantina.

i dunno who said you did but no that isn't wall jumping at all. you just happened to spawn up there is my guess, something most people don't do at the start of the match on that side.

I think it's similar to wall jumping in that an enimy may see you doing fancy things on roof-top, or appear out of no-where on roof-top and THINK you are wall jumping; but as far is fair-play, it is in no way a glitch, rather it exemplifies skill and character control.

In my opinion if rooftops werent meant to be part of the game then the maps wouldnt allow people to get on them.I mean if darktroopers can fly around to get on roof tops then who cares if anyone else can either.Just my opinion.

well I saw someone do that but that isn't what I'm pissed about someone got behind me and shot me in the back, if anyone wants me to show them ingame just come hit me up on xfire and i'll show you why I got angry. On another note, it is basically impossible to catch someone with a screen shot so I think we ought to legalize this. Someone probably just got pwnt in a match because they were noobs and had never played with wall jumping so complained.

Well wall jumping is just part of the poopty physics engine the principle that carries through for wall jumping caries through for making normal jumps. If you jump right before something that moves upward you get an extra boost on the jump. Alternately when jumping off a ledge your better jumping sooner rather then later.

Ok um I realize this thread is as good as DONE, but I just got caught up on the latest posts and would like to point out:

It's not just that darktroopers are "able" to get on rooftops, or normal people are "able" to...

THERE ARE STAIRS!!! lol, that wasnt an accident. And the buildings are so close together it's obvious that roof jumping (as far as i kno it) is totally legal. Fancy roof jumping may not have been something the programmers ever tried when they were testing the game, but I don't think that makes it legal. Gamers discover 90% of the cool tricks in every game...


glitches and cool tricks... What am i talking about... back to real life...

hey notice the fact this game ain't real life so why not legalize this move? Hell, it's the freaking star wars universe maybe the game designers put these things in the game like det throwing to save there piece of crap game cuz everything about it pretty much sucks compared to other games.

Well, you can see this from another angle as well. Star Wars is far from real life. You see jedi performing feats that cant be done with your own physical abilities and then the weapons. And I can go on and on with list after list but lets just leave it at that what makes star wars fun is the unreal actions some characters do.

Det packs im sure were not meant to be used by how we use them but the same can be said with mines and rockets by the way we use them. Im sure they were meant to counteract vehicles but we should be able to use them against humans since you are able to.

I would have to agree with Vis on Roof jumping. If they didnt want us up there there wouldnt be stairs or even a roof to land on if that was the case. They oculdve just made the buildings large enough where dark and jet troopers couldnt reach them or even have stairs to walk on the roofs.

We all know that Lucasarts did a poor job on updates etc for a variety of reasons so chances are there will be some unreal feats that we can do because the lack of updates lucasarts has done for this game.

Ive had a few matches with this kind of thing going on, and I have to say, if you can get there WITHOUT a wall jump, then it should be deemed legal.
