Sandcrawler maintains a page listing all of the Bactamaps and their download location here.
http://rc.injapan.org/bactaweek.htm

The Bactaweek 6 maps have been packaged into a convenient map pack that will install all of the Bactamaps and a few others into your map folder. I'm sure you'll all agree this is easier and less time consuming than installing each individual map. The latest map pack is here
http://files.filefront.com/Bactaweek_6_Map_Pack/;4441277;;/fileinfo.html

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you're installing maps individually then these maps use a map tool that updates your map list so you can see them in the in game browser. A tutorial showing you the installation process is here. http://rc.injapan.org/xgenamd.htm#gamers
or a video tutorial is here. http://files.filefront.com/How_to_install_a_mod_map/;4141490;;/fileinfo.html

For maps with no installation tool you can just add the maps file (mapname.ctm) to your map folder. However you'll need to manually update your maplist so they show up in the ingame map list. Help with that is here. http://rc.injapan.org/faq.htm

===================================================================

I NEED BACTA!! My whole freakin system crashed on me!! It'll take me a couple of days to get everything back because I'm right in the middle of my mid term finals at school. But I'll try to be ready by next week. Later.

I have installed the maps, but when I attempt to load them I just get big blue boxes with a big red box in it? Am I doing something wrong?

Hey XLR8.

First it goes to main RC folder. Once you click the setup file it places the map in the map folder and updates the in-game browser so you can select it from there rather than using the command console to start the map.

I'm glad you posted about it just in case anybody else has the same problem.

Yea, but my blasted log in information isn't being accepted on GT. I emailed the boss, hopefully he'll straighten it out.

Hello,

Open the file by double clicking and click Next > Next > Check the button 'I agree with the above terms and conditions' and hit Next > Next > Start > Next > Exit.

Now go to C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Republic Commando and click on the setup file.

This puts the map in your map folder and updates your map list.

I downloaded the maps and they installed except for their titles. They don't appear in my map listing in game, but do in the map list file. I tried to redo them three times and only Greena shows up. What did I do wrong? Maybe my comp has just gone insane, lol.

Hey Dark Trooper,

I just cleared out my mod maps and reinstalled DM_Gulch, DM_Foundation and a new one DM_Woodlock. They all appeared in the in-game browser, in the map folder and in the XMaplist. I'd have to say it may be your PC playing up.

Tried to download DM_Valley and got the following message from file front:

Invalid Key or in use or Missing File

Your download key for the requested file is invalid. Download keys are only valid for 48 hours. Once your download is complete, the key is no longer valid. Keys are also only valid for the original server. Additionally this error may be caused because the file was not found on the server.

Now what??

Just tried out Asteroid. Cool deal with that one. Can't wait to play it in actual battle.

Hello XLR8,

Setting up a match requires mutual agreement on the selcetion of maps so pretty much anything goes as long as competing clans are in agreement.

The maps in this list are maps that were made specifically made to address people's concerns about unbalanced weapons. I've play tested them all and believe they are fair and not one sided.

I've looked for fairness in the location of spawn points, weapon pick-ups and level design. They are all very symmetrical and have no hidden walls, etc.

I can recommend the maps in this list. If there are any issues I've missed then I'm certain they'll be publicised.

I removed the base teleporters and replaced them with the CTF bases as it was a little too easy to steal the flag and make a quick teleport getaway. Everything else remains the same though...I wonder if I'm still your hero. lol

Only way to get the mod maps working is to use ingame commands.  Hit ` to pull down the console and type in 'switchlevel dm_mapname' without the '.  For CTF maps, just replace the DM with CTF.  I'm not sure if anyone has figured out a way to get the maps to show up on the map list yet, but I'm sure it'll be possible...one of these days...

The map pack doesn't update your map list.

If you install each Bactamap individually and follow the read-me steps then the map list will update and you'll be able to see the map in your map browser.
